Types of transformers made in China
Chinese transformer manufacturers supply power transformers for transmission substations and distribution transformers for networks and industrial sites. The main split is oil-immersed units, which are common outdoors and at higher ratings, and dry-type cast-resin units, which are used indoors and in buildings where fire risk matters. Many manufacturers also make special transformers for rectifiers, traction, renewable energy and data centres.
What buyers compare
- Oil-immersed or dry-type (cast resin)
- Rated power (kVA or MVA) and voltage ratio
- Losses and efficiency class
- Vector group and tap changer type
- Standard: IEC 60076 or the destination market's standard
